Biography

Anthony Poon is an acclaimed violinist known for his expressive artistry and versatility as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral leader. He is completing his Master of Music at The Juilliard School with Ronald Copes, following BA (Hons) and MA degrees from the Royal Academy of Music under Jack Liebeck.

As a soloist, he has performed with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra and the Stamford Chamber Orchestra, and is a 2nd Prize winner of the Eastbourne Symphony Orchestra Young Soloist Competition, a Musicus Young Artist Honourable Mention, and a Tunnell Trust Young Musician.

Anthony has appeared at festivals including Kuhmo, Lerici, BigLake, and Juilliard Chamberfest, and has held professional roles such as Sub-Principal Second Violin of the Royal Northern Sinfonia.
